College Dates & Deadlines
DISCLAIMER: Although this is a comprehensive list of dates and deadlines for the more common colleges and universities, however, EVERY SINGLE DEADLINE FOR COLLEGES ARE NOT INCLUDED ON THIS LIST. It is important to check the websites for the schools you are interested in and confirm their important dates and deadlines! A missed deadline, for most campuses, may cost you your spot.
August 1st- UC Application opens for Fall applicants. Students can begin working on their applications but cannot submit them until the month of October.
October 1st - CSU Application opens for Fall applicants. Students can begin submitting applications immediately.
October 1st- UC application submission period begins. (This process began in the 2022-2023 school year)
October 1st- MJC (Modesto Junior College) application opens for Fall.
November 15th- University of the Pacific (UOP) Early Action Applications are due. University of the Pacific applications for the following majors are due: Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dentistry. Powell Scholars Program application priority deadline. First-Year Honors application deadline.
November 30 at 11:59pm - UC & some CSU Fall applications close.
December 15th at 11:59pm - Some CSU Fall applications close. (Check individual campus' admissions sites)
December 15th at 11:59pm - CSU EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) portion of the application is due for the following campuses: Bakersfield, Chico, Dominguez Hills, Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, & San Jose.
December 29th- CSU EOP(Educational Opportunity Program) document deadline for Fresno. (Meaning letters of recommendation are due from recommenders).
October 1- FAFSA & CADAA applications open for the school year. (Can change)
January 1st- Many, but not all, private school/out-of-state applications are due by this date through the Common App.
January 15th- CSU EOP deadline for Los Angeles. (Meaning letters of recommendation are due from recommenders). The Deadline to submit the EOP portion of CSU applications for all campuses not listed above on December 15th. University of the Pacific (UOP) application priority date for all majors besides Pre-Pharmacy and Pre-Dentistry.
January 31st- CSU EOP document deadline for all CSU's except Fresno & Los Angeles. (Meaning letters of recommendation are due from recommenders).
March 1st - CSU's/UC's begin to notify students of their Fall admission decisions.
March 31st - UC finishes notifying applicants of their Fall admission decisions.
March 1st- Priority deadline to submit FAFSA/California Dream Act applications.
May 1st- College Decision Day! For many colleges, you must accept your admission to your school of choice by this date by submitting your intent to enroll and paying the enrollment deposit (if required).
July 1st- Deadline to submit final/official transcripts to UC's if you will be attending one.
July 15th- Deadline to submit final/official transcripts to MOST CSU's if you will be attending one. UC deadline to submit official exam scores.
